VIKING 'GAR' SPEAR

Hand-forged sometime between the 10th and 12th centuries A.D., this beautifully preserved  Viking Spearhead displays a tapering tubular socket with attachment hole, a facetted neck and a slender, lozenge sectioned triangular blade.

At 27cm long, the spear probably represents a 'Gar' spear - a common Viking weapon used as a thrusting spear or thrown at close quarters.

Mounted on textured steel and measuring and around 20cm high, this amazing historical artefact could be yours to own today.
