Anglo-Saxon Spearhead
It's rare for anything Anglo-Saxon to make it onto the antiquities market and remain affordable. This lovely little iron speahead is an exception.
Measuring only c. 9cm long, the spearhead dates from the 6th-8th century A.D. and was probably used to hunt small game and fowl.
While it shows many signs of its age, the spearhead is a rare find and will make a great addition to any collection.
Provenance
Acquired by Timeless on the UK antiquities market in 2018, formally part of a private collection.
