Measuring around 7cm in length, this tiny piece of 1st - 2nd century Rome has been made by pinching together the walls of a small bowl. It was probably used to burn oil.
It's simple, it's unadorned, but it also represents a tiny window into an ancient, long-gone life - and we at Timeless love it!
(And lastly, whoever made this little bowl, all those centuries ago, was right-handed.)
Mounted on a plinth of oak.
