Timeless Galleries are delighted to offer a lovely example of a Roman Stylus.
Cast in bronze between the 1st and 3rd Centuries A.D., the stylus is around 14cm long and entirely intact -it even retains the original discoid eraser at one end (used to flatten out the clay tablets that the Romans used as 'notepads').
At 10cm long and beautifully decorated, this is an amazing historical artefact - Roman styli rarely come to market, and this piece (one of a group of three) would make a fascinating and unique gift for the history lover.
Now available in the Timeless Galleries.
Acquired by Timeless on the UK Antiquities Market, 2019, previously forming part of a private collection formed between 1990 - 2000.
