Here's a nice little thing - a beautifully made silver trumpet brooch, dating around 1800 years old.
Trumpet brooches were made in Roman Britain between the second and third centuries A.D. In the words of the late Richard Hattatt, once the world's foremost authority on Roman fibula brooches:
"The mature British trumpet brooch is, at its best, a thing of considerable beauty and is found nowhere else in the world, other than the occasional stray."
For those that would love to own a little piece of ancient history, now available in the Timeless Galleries
