Timeless Galleries are delighted to offer a lovely example of a Roman Dress Pin.
Cast in bronze almost two thousand years ago - its design is simple, unadorned and practical. This was not owned by anyone of status - no wife of a centurion or senator's daughter. This enigmatic little pin would have been owned by just one of the forty-to-fifty-million subjects of the Populusque Rōmānus- the People of the Roman Empire: a nameless person from the past, who amounted to nothing more than a comma on the pages of history, and we at Timeless Galleries love it.
We hope that you will too.

Acquired by Timeless on the UK Antiquities Market, 2019, previously forming part of a private Belgian collection. Prior to that, forming part of a German collection formed in the 1990s.
