Timeless are very pleased to offer a fantastic collection of polished Stone Age Axeheads dating from the Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic period, between 6000 and 8000 years ago.
Of European origin, the axes have been knapped in flint (the percussion bulbs are still visible on some of the axe heads). Once the desired shape was obtained, the axes were polished, probably by rubbing on a large, flat stone, to produce a beautifully smooth and sharp cutting edge.
Standing at around 28cm in height, the axeheads have been mounted in a heavy textured steel frame and oak, and will make an amazing display for your home.
...and that middle axe is a real beast!
