Timeless Galleries are pleased to offer an early 1st century A.D. Roman Disc Brooch.
Cast in bronze almost two thousand years ago - the brooch is richly patterned and has been tinned (much like silver-plating) to produce a beautiful sheen against a dark green patina
The central plate may have once held a jewel, now lost to antiquity.
With a diameter of just over 3.5cm, this is one of the largest disc brooches that has passed through our hands.
Now available in the Timeless Galleries
