Timeless are pleased to offer a Frieze Fragment dating from the 5th - 2nd Century B.C.E.
Fired in Ancient Greece well over two millennia ago, this enimatic terracotta fragment displays two facing figures, each clothed in a himation, a type of mantle or wrap worn by both men and women.
The piece has been mounted on a small oak base, but we should warn you that it's a bit of a balancing act to get the fragment to stand upright! Once balanced, it will be fine, but we preferred to use its natural contours to balance the piece, rather than applying fixtures to something so old.
