Timeless are pleased to offer a Ceramic Candelabra dating to the 5th - 2nd Century B.C.E.
One of a pair now avaialable in the Timeless Galleries, the piece was fired well over two millennia ago. These delicate examples of Ancient Greek ceramicware would have supported candles made from either tallow or beeswax and would probably have belonged to high status individuals, as low-grade olive oil was much cheaper to burn in lamps than wax candles.
Mounted on a plinth of aged oak, the candelabra is around 20cm in height.
